Saturday Party

I have spent my last weekend mainly with studying and then I went for a walk to the City Centre on Saturday (to look for some Christmas presents and to have some time for myself). All the streets are so nice and the markets are so beautiful. You can smell the "Glühwein", Punsch", Kaiserschmarn, "Maronni", "Kartoffelpuffer", "Bratwürste" and christmas pastry everywhere. People are already doing crazy shopping but I still have to focus on my studies because now it is getting to be interesting :-)). On Saturday there was a party in Panorama, though. Stefano, the Italian boy, was celebrating his birthday but a lot of other people came and it was fun. I slept quite long on Sunday :-)).

CEMS Punsch tour

On Friday we made a little tour round the Spittelberger market with CEMS people.
We had some punsch and "Kartoffelpuffer" (bramborak). I really like these markets. The only thing that bothers me is that they are very crowded. In the picture I am with Kasia (Poland).

Monenka,Verusha and Hrusticka in Vienna!!!

My beloved roomates from Prague have visited me this weekend! Despite the severe weather we have enjoyed our time together very much and I showed them whole Vienna. I think we were pretty tired after these 2 days. They arrived on Friday and we had a dinner and a small private party in our kitchen. Saturday was a long day full of sightseeing and then I took girls to the "Chritkindlmarkt" in front of the "Rathaus" which was opened yesterday. We had punch and "glühwein" and then we went to a restaurant for dinner to the restaurant "Centimeter" with some of my friends as well. On Sunday we went to Schönbrunn (lying under the snow now) and then we visited the exhibition in the Lower Belveder - van Gogh, Cesanne & Austrian Modern Art. It was interesting. Girls left few hours ago and I have to get back to work. We had a great time and I am looking to see them all again!!!

Winter time :-)

It was snowing during Thursday and Friday and the whole weekend was very cold and freezing. I took some winter pictures. One of them shows the view from my room and the second one Schönbrunn under the snow. It is quite unusual for Vienna to have snow so early but it is cool. And it really fits to the atmosphere in the City because the chrissmas markets have been opened!

Heuriger at Schübl Auer

This is another very busy week for me and I am spending almost every day at school but I still have some news. First we went to a Heuriger organized by the buddy network on Tuesday and it was good. A lot of food and wine wasn´t bad. We left quite early, though, because everybody has to learn a lot.
And second thing is that Martin Klimes found a tandem for me. Thanks to him I would have possibility to train my German more. My tandem partner is a girl from Mistelbach, her name is Agnes and she studies at Uni Wien "Germanistik und Tschechisch". She has been learning Czech for 1 year but she already speaks quite well. I was really impressed. And she is very nice.We went to eat to some Pakistan restaurant today where you can pay for the meal how much you want and you can eat as much as you can. Amazing!!!

Lucinka came to Vienna again :-))

On Thursday I went to the cinema with Anita and Andy to see some comedy with Ben Stiller and on Friday Lucinka came again. We had a good lunch-dinner and then we went for an evening walk to the City. We saw the shining buildings of the Rathaus, Parliament and Museums. We went to the Mariahilfer to see some shops and we discovered a very nice one called "Butlers". We spent there maybe one hour, they had all kinds of things there and a chrismass decoration. In the evening there was some Polish party so we joined it for a while.
On Saturday we visited Hundertwasserhaus and Kunsthauswien. These buildings are really amazing. The weather was horrible - cold, rain, wind - but still I think we enjoyed it. We went to SV for a dinner and then we were cooking Glühwein with some other people (Anita+her boyfriend, Pavel + his friend, Martin, Karol, Julien and Yuri). It was a nice evening again.
Winter came to Vienna. Today we woke up and it was snowing so much. Now quite everything has melted down again but I heard there is lot of snow in whole Austria. So maybe there is some in the Czech Republic as well.
Lucka left and I have so many things to study now, I am little bit depressed :-(. But it will be fine again.

Rotation dinner

After a longer break here are my latest news. I have already passed 2 courses here in Vienna - both of the SAP courses, one with A and the other one with B grade which are quite good results.
On Wednesday 7.11. I participated in a special CEMS event - rotation dinner with 5 austrian companies. We were eating in a very classy restaurant in Palais Liechtestein - it must have been really expensive. There were 5 courses and after each dish we moved to another table. I was sitting with Nina, Michael, Barbara and Soren. In total there were 25 CEMS students. It was very interesting talking to people from so different companies. We had representatives from "Nationalbank Österreichs", OMV, Bank Austria Creditanstalt, KPMG and A.T.Kearney. There was austrian wine served, very good indeed. The dinner lasted nearly 4 hours. :-))

Walk to Leopoldberg

On Thursday 1st November we made a little afternoon hiking trip to the Vienna Forest and wine-yard area. We have enjoyed a lovely view on the city from Leopoldberg and we ended our walk in one of the Heurigers in Nussdorf. Unfortunately the pictures are very dark because it was already late afternoon.

Halloween party!

After a lot of days of hard studying I deserved some relax. And since there was Halloween on Wednesday we decided to celebrate it. I have passed my second SAP course this day as well which was another reason for celebration! I did nto want to wear a mask at first but then other people persuaded me - so I was trying to be a "sexy cat" in the evening. The whole thing was such a fun. Anita and Andy were witches, Véro was a devil girl, Martin was a professor with moustache, Pavel was a pirate, Liang came with the tradional Vienna mask.
