Antverpen

This weekend was really cool. I did some travelling, yeah! On Sunday I left Bonn early in the morning and went through Brussels to Antverpen by train. The journey went ok and I enjoyed my day full of sightseeing. I really liked the historical centre of Antverpen-the City where Rubens was born and living for years. I did not see so much of the big port, just few ships, but I had a boat trip on the Schelda river which was nice. The weather was hot, even too hot for a City walk but I enjoyed it and came back to Bonn utterly tired and prepared for another week of work. I tasted a Belgium waffel and bought some 10% alcoholic beer home just for taste. We tried it out today with my flatmate Christian and it was good - little bit sweet and strong. Antverpen is also very famous for its diamond shops - well I´ve seen some. In the pictures - skyscrapers with EU flag in Brussels, me in the Rubens garden, ships in Antverpen.
