Sunday relax

Today I finally visited the Museum of German history in Bonn - Haus der Deutschen Geschichte. The entrance is free and all expositions are highly interesting, I can strongly recommend this museum. It was interesting to see expositions of the WW2 from the German point of view. There were all big German cities after the end of the war, either in pictures or movies. They also showed the whole era of post-war reconstruction, separation of DDR from BRD, the speech of Kennedy in Berlin and the fall of the Berlin Wall. Then I also saw an exposition of German songs and melodies - going from the 50s til 80s. That was cool and among the songs for children, the Czech "Biene Maja" was the first :-))))). Well, in our history there were times that were certainly not easy for anybody. You can also see the old German VW cars in one section of this museum.
I took my bike afterwards and with music in my head I just slowly went home and today there is such a nice early autumn weather. I felt so calm but anyway my duties in Prague are also slowly calling me - I am already writing articles for our CEMS Club where I am leading the PR team. And I am looking for a new job in Prague and planning millions of other things, as usual. Bye, bye.

Busy days and my stay in Bonn is slowly coming to its end.

Here I am with some more news from my busy life. I spent exactly 38 hours with my family in South Bohemia last weekend (viz. picture with my dear sis), then few hours with my friends on Sunday and Monday in Prague and then 8 hours at the University where I took the CEMS language exam in English. Afterwards, quickly back to Bonn and I am finishing the work on my project in T-Mobile because I have just 13 days left here in Germany and then - home sweet home again. In between there are some parties again. Yesterday we went to a big fun fair which is called "Pützchensmarkt" and it was really German and really crowded and loud but I liked it. We ended up in a Bavarian tent around 2 o´clock am singing German "Schlager" and drinking "Weizenbier".

La dolce vita in Bonn

The last week has been really crazy. A lot of parties - I went out on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday and today I slept long and I start learning for one exam I am having next Monday in Prague. On We I went with my flatmate Christian for couple of beers to celebrate his end of studies and on Thu there was an after-job party and on Fri two interns in T-Mobile did a farewell party and on Sa we were doing a barbecue at Rhein and we went to cinema afterwards. What a great week, oh yeah. Well, and I have just one month of my internship left; the time is running so fast here, I can´t believe it. There is also still a lot to do in T-Mobile, of course.

Amsterdam!

On Friday my dear friend Lucinka came to see me and we rented a car from T-Mobile and went to Amsterdam for the weekend. The weather was not absolutely perfect but on Saturday it was quite ok. We checked in our camping hostel :-) in the suburbs, left the car there and went to the Centre. We did a boat cruise through the "grachten" system and enjoyed Amsterdam atmosphere. We´ve seen the famous coffee shops and red light district. The whole City is full of young people and at night it is really living. On Sunday we visited the Van Gogh Museum. It was very cold in here :-) and a lot of people but we´ve seen a lot of original paintings. The whole weekend was great.

Alcatel Boat Party in Austin Powers Style

On Thursday last week there was a boat party organised for people from T-Mobile and Alcatel.
The topic was 70´s and Austin Powers party and there were people dressed up like that. We enjoyed a lot of fun, the food was for free and the drinks very cheap. I just went home sooner because in the last days my programme was so full that I really did not get enough sleep so I have to catch up now. If I succeed I cannot say because there is always something to do...:-).

T-Gallery tour

Last week on Wednesday afternoon the interns from T-Mobile went to the Zentrale of Deutsche Telekom to see the T-Gallery which is the place where future of inter-human communication is visualised. The tour was very interesting, it showed possible ways where telecommunication services could move in future either at people´s work or home or when travelling. We also tried out an interesting concept of online elections. And then - next Stammtisch, this time at Bierhaus Machold.

French visit from Véro

My dear room-mate from Vienna Véronique came for visit. We have spent a great weekend together in Bonn and surroundings and also the weather was leaned towards us :-). I took Véro to Drachenfels and we did sightseeing in Bonn and Köln and since she spent the whole weekend with me we also had time to visit Augustusschloss in Brühl and a big Hariboshop in Bonn because if you didn´t know it Haribo bonbons(Hans Riegel Bonn) come from Bonn. Véro left today I went working and I hope that we´ll see each other soon again.

Business trip to Darmstadt

Hello again. Some days have passed again and a lot of things happened. On Wednesday last week we went with my colleague Cigdem to Darmstadt to Deutsche Telekom for a meeting. It was a nice business trip and our working week was also quite busy. A lot of interviews and meetings and our project starts looking really good now.

My parents and sister came for visit!

During this weekend my family visited me and we did some sightseeing together by car, on foot and on bikes as well. Unfortunately we did not spend so much time together but it was nice. Now I am supplied with food, Czech beer and Becherovka! We were also watching the Olympic games together and cheered together when the Czech Republic woman shooter won the first golden medal in Beijing.

My birthday

I have had a very nice birthday although I actually went working. My collegues all congratulated to me and I got chocolates from Sare and Cigdem and they also bought some sekt to have a toast. In the evening Cigdem came to my place, we went to sauna and then for a drink to a bar. I have also received a lot of wishes from my family and friends. Thank you all.
